HOW DOES THIS WORK??

First you bring your item in.

(Pick up is available.)

We fill out a Consignment Order, discuss your item and determine an opening bid or reserve amount.

We take pictures of your item.  We use a 7.0 Mega-pixel Digital camera that provides film quality pictures.  With our computer program, the pictures are then edited for maximum detail and presentation of your item on the Internet.

We take care of all the listing details so your item can be presented for auction on eBay. 

At the end of the auction, we take care of invoicing, collecting payment, packaging and shipping your item. 

WE WRITE YOU A CHECK!!

Typically the whole process can take as little as three weeks.  (4 to 6 weeks average.)

WHAT DOES THIS COST?

YOU PAY NOTHING UP FRONT.  All fees and costs are deducted from the sell of your item.  There is a nominal set up fee, as low as $10, to take and edit pictures, research and create the listing.  eBay charges a Listing Insertion Fee when your item is uploaded.  When your item sells; we collect a commission (6% – 10%); eBay also charges a Final Value Fee; and PayPal charges a fee to process a credit card or e-check transaction.  A detailed Rate Sheet is available upon request and is presented at time of consignment.  (Set-up Fee and Listing Insertion Fees are charged whether or not the item sells.)

What does eBay and PayPal Charge?

eBay's Listing Insertion fees are based upon the opening bid or reserve price of a listing, plus the listing features used.  The base insertion fees, plus listing features range from $3.95 to $9.95. The listing features that we use most often include photos, Listing Designer Template, Buy-It-Now, Stores and Auction Pages listing, International Listing, and Listing Archiving.

Upgrades that are available at an additional cost include: Reserve Price Auction (Selling Price Protection); Sub-Title; Featured Item (Comes up first in a search of like items) as well as border, bold and highlight.

When your item sells, eBay charges a Final Value fee, based on the final selling price of the item.  The Final Value Fee ranges from 3% to 10%.  If the buyer pays by credit card or e-Check (funds originating in U.S. Dollars) through PayPal, the charge to the consignor is 3% + .30 of the transaction amount.  (Add 3% additional for transactions originating in non-U.S. Funds.)

Q: What about Shipping, and related costs? 

A: The buyer pays Shipping and Handling Fees. 

For smaller items that are shipped VIA the United States Postal Service, UPS, FedEx, and DHL, we package and ship ourselves.  We also take care of all the Customs Declarations on International shipping.  For larger items – we use an insured packaging and shipping company.  We also broker freight shipping.

Q: What happens in the event of a dispute with a buyer?

A: First, we guarantee EVERYTHING we sell.  If the buyer does not like it – for whatever reason, they send it back and we refund the price, plus shipping and handling and return shipping, at our expense.  We try to treat our customers the way we would want to be treated.   Second, we are members of Square Trade.  It is like a Better Business Bureau for Internet merchants.
